the decade's last daylight

 

it snowed perhaps two inches today. it stopped,

and for a little while the sky remained a thin grey.

 and then the grey transitioned somewhat to an afternoon blue.

 

inside it was warm

and the new snow melted on the skylight.

 

happy new year, happy new decade.
